In the fifth year of Yuanguang, Liu Che sent an official to deliver this decree to the empress:
The empress has lost her virtue and been led astray by sorcerers. She is unfit to receive the Mandate of Heaven. She shall surrender her imperial seal and ribbons and retire to Changan Palace.
