A modern retelling of Meng Lijun
After watching TVB's The Legend of Meng Lijun,
I thought Huangfu Shaohua was so adorable.
I once saw the Huangmei opera Female Chancellor, performed by Han Zaifen (I hope I got her name right).
In it, Huangfu Shaohua had a very boyish face and was a slightly impulsive young general.
I didn't like that character, but TVB's adaptation made him lively and lovable in an instant.
I couldn't help becoming fascinated by Lijun and Shaohua's game of romantic hide-and-seek.
I've borrowed the names from The Legend of Meng Lijun, along with the characters' personalities and appearances.
I just want to try to continue their sweet, innocent story.
