Autumn Comes Late

Always alone,

transmigrating through one unfamiliar city after another,

walking along those bustling streets,

looking up at the same blue sky,

witnessing the love, hate, and farewells of those around me,

then returning alone to an empty home,

keeping watch and waiting

for the person who will light the lamp by my door...
