In short, this is a revised version of my previous work, The Calamity. It's basically the first half of The Calamity, since I only finished the first half before.
(This is sort of the previous life of Qiang Xiao and Jiang Yang from A Young Man's Journey, but I wouldn't recommend it to readers who liked their personalities in A Young Man's Journey. Their personalities in this life are more... broken? Still, I like them a lot too, so I revised it.)
