On the third day, in the crowded school uniform storage room, Song Qingye stood behind her in line to collect their new uniforms. The students behind them shoved forward, and Shen Xingli found herself pressed against him. She listened as his strong heartbeat mingled with her own frantic one.

Her parents' endless arguments kept Shen Xingli from having a happy home. She was afraid to face Song Qingye after her parents fought, and grew sensitive and timid, carefully hiding her gaze and her feelings.
But whenever her parents had finished arguing, and Shen Xingli was at her saddest, she would hear the beautiful sound of a violin from nearby. Its melody was gentle and lilting, quietly comforting her throughout the night.
By chance, Shen Xingli discovered that the violin piece she heard every night was the one Song Qingye had won a gold medal for at a citywide violin competition in middle school.
At the class party, everyone urged Song Qingye to play it again. He gently refused. "I only play this piece for one person."
As meteors streaked across the sky, Shen Xingli suddenly realized, to her delight, that Song Qingye didn't seem to dislike her. It even seemed as if he might like her a little.
The girl was completely smitten.
The pressure of senior year came crashing down, and her parents' constant arguments eventually led to divorce.
Her youth had been barren and bleak, but fortunately Song Qingye was always by her side, bringing light and hope.
Shen Xingli picked up her pen and wrote on a paper airplane:
"Hey, Song Qingye, did you know?
I'm a little star. I was lucky enough to pass through your summer, and from then on I became a sky full of starlight."
