What has ever made you feel that fate is absurd?
Thanks for the invitation. I'm a war correspondent. I just got back to Japan from El Salvador and discovered that my hometown is far more dangerous than a war zone. The right-wing death squads in El Salvador's government forces only dared to shoot people. Here, someone actually managed to plant a bomb in a large apartment building in the city center. Maybe I'd be safer going back to being a war correspondent.

I didn't expect there to be more. The war is basically over, and I've decided to change careers and return to Japan to become a crime reporter. When I went back to my hometown, I found that it really was more dangerous than a war zone. Over there, they've started talking about peace, and both sides signed a human rights agreement guaranteeing civilians' safety. Here, someone managed to plant a bomb on the Ferris wheel at a large shopping mall in the city center.

I didn't expect another follow-up. After a month as a crime reporter, I've realized my hometown really is fraught with danger. Just a month after the last incident, I came across another major shooting, and found a child victim.
