Yi You is an ordinary mortal, and there's nothing wrong with that. Fortunately, Yi You has a master’s wife, and she is a genuine cultivator.
Her master's wife brought Yi You from the mortal world to the cultivation world. After leaving Yi You in the care of a friend, she disappeared without a trace. No one told Yi You where she had gone.
Her master's wife's friend became Yi You's teacher. The teacher treated Yi You very well and wanted her to stay by their side, but Yi You wanted to see more of the cultivation world. This made her teacher unhappy.
Her teacher said Yi You couldn't make it in the cultivation world, and used the risk of her getting hurt as a reason to forbid her from casually venturing down the mountain.
Those on the mountain couldn't go down, but those below could come up.
One day, when wildflowers bloomed across the mountain, Yi You met an injured cultivator who had come seeking treatment.
What good is immortality if the one you love cannot live forever? Life is short, so what's wrong with loving one more person?
Not a one-on-one romance. All male characters are virgins.
