[Prince of Tennis] As If It Were Love

Their love was unequal from the very beginning. For the eight years that came before, she watched him grow. No, he was part of the world in which she herself grew up. But throughout those eight years, he never knew she existed, never knew she had been silently protecting him. Eight years lay between them. Even though, eight years later, he came to love her with all his heart, that eight-year gap became the greatest distance between them. Perhaps even she herself never knew that his name had long been etched into her heart. Perhaps she had fallen in love with him long ago... There was no right or wrong, perhaps that moment in time was the greatest mistake of all. That wedding separated them for seven whole years, but it also brought greater equality to their love. Still, we can never know what the future holds... If you'd like to learn more about this story, I recommend reading [Not Quite Love].
