Everyone knows that the "Bel" in Belgian football means big-shot energy, and Belgians are also nicknamed "the Bels."

As a bona fide Bel, Loris Meers knows all about acting like one.

When things around him get too stable, he puts on an excessively unhinged mindset and says the most absurd things with a straight face.

When the locker room is in turmoil, he makes full use of his Flemish-Walloon mixed heritage and smoothly becomes the peacemaker.

What do you do when nobody can agree? What do you do when the defense is practically nonexistent?

Then everyone can just listen to me :)

First, he becomes the most dependable defender at his club. Then his teammates suffer one injury after another, and the head coach randomly shifts him to other positions. The farther he goes, the farther up the pitch he plays.

After years on the job, Loris looks back and thinks: Huh, when did I become an all-rounder?

At this point, anything short of winning the championship would be absurd.

Loris has never believed people who say his team can't win a title, whether at club or international level.
