“Phoenix City is lovely. Its people are lovely, too,” Feng Yan said to Huang Luo.
Huang Luo paused for a moment, then smiled. “Then stay a few more days next time, A Yan.”
“Who said I was going to live at your place forever!” Feng Yan blushed at the tips of her ears and urged her horse a couple of steps ahead.
“Then I could move in with you instead, A Yan,” Huang Luo said with a laugh, spurring her horse to catch up.
“I can’t be bothered to trade quips with you.” Feng Yan looked back and glared at her.
Behind them, Mo'er and A Lu exchanged a glance.
“Elder Sister A Lu, why does your princess always bully my miss?” Mo'er pouted.
“Don't be silly. Her Highness wouldn't dare bully Miss Feng.” A Lu rolled her eyes.
“But it looked to me like Miss was angry just now.” Mo'er furrowed her brows.
“Miss Feng is happy, you little girl. What do you know?” A Lu tapped her on the head.
“Huh?” Mo'er rubbed her head, bewildered.
Feng Yan, cold on the outside and warm within, seemingly dominant but not quite, VS Huang Luo, tender and righteous, seemingly submissive but not quite. Two equally matched women who take turns in the lead. High martial arts, political intrigue, and the martial world.
“What? Miss Feng only looks at swords, not at the person who saved her life?” (No, no. Later, Huang Luo discovered that her A Yan also looked at faces, waists, and things that can't be described.)
“If A Yan wants to fight me, I won't fight back.” (Ahem. Huang Luo was careless again. Later, she discovered that her girl liked to fight in hot springs and among fields of flowers. She really did want to fight back...)
