The male and female leads fall in love at first sight and marry after a month, but after the wedding they grow increasingly distant until they are strangers to each other.
After being ignored time and again and swallowing her grievances over and over, the female lead develops depression.
On the day she is diagnosed, she discovers flirtatious chat logs between the male lead and his former crush. Seeing how similar their faces are, she thinks she is a substitute. Heartbroken, she prepares to leave.
But the male lead comes home just then.
To let her rest and recover in peace, he even threatens her with his job, repeatedly trying to win her heart back through gestures he thinks are considerate.
Yet his attentive care only drives them farther apart, until they reach the point of divorce.
The male lead dies on Valentine's Day. His final gift to the female lead is, astonishingly, divorce papers that are nine months overdue.

The misunderstanding is not cleared up until the final two chapters.
The female lead does eventually forgive the male lead.
As for who loves whom more, it is probably the male lead. But he puts on an act and has a way of saying all the wrong things, making the female lead think for a time that he does not love her.
