Noah Sikorski, a former reporter for The Times Literary Supplement, thought he could spend his whole life working diligently in a secure job. But when the publishing company he worked for was sold, he got laid off with a severance package and had to start looking for a second career in middle age.

He succeeded.

Let us introduce him again: Noah Sikorski, current reserve gossip reporter, better known as an intern, also known as a paparazzo. Thanks to the advantage of having a British-Ukrainian dual-nationality passport, and with former AC Milan star Andriy Shevchenko's transfer to Chelsea making headlines, he beat out all the other candidates and landed a job at The Sun. His first requirement for becoming a full-fledged reporter was to try to get an exclusive, major scoop on Shevchenko.

But after staking out the place until dawn and coming away empty-handed, he was so exhausted that he walked straight into a tree in the landscaped garden. He transmigrated, and unexpectedly found himself witnessing bullying off the pitch at an unfamiliar team's training ground.
