Peggy had lived at Norville Abbey since she was a child.
She had no real name; “Peggy” was merely a code name. She had no clear memories of her homeland, and didn’t know why she kept dreaming of flames, bloodshed, war, and slaughter.
Then one day, the teacher she trusted most drove her out of the abbey.
The teacher left her with just one instruction:
“Go south and find Finn Shaw. You’ll understand why you came here, and why you have to leave.”
And so Peggy packed her bags and set out on her journey.
She met Merk, a scarred stranger of unknown origins; Elsa, a wolf-clan princess who had lived deep in the forest and had never seen the outside world; and Finn’s son, Kavin, a wandering physician. For the first time, she also discovered that the races described in her abbey textbooks as “savage, dangerous, and inferior” might not be anything like the books claimed.
A falsified history, lost magic, an ancient curse, and a civilization forgotten by the world…
In the end, every secret pointed to the same name
Mount Ebony.
Peggy wanted to reclaim her past.
But she didn’t know that sometimes what a person truly needs to find isn’t “who they used to be.”
It’s
the kind of person they want to become.
