Originally titled: Give Me a New Dynasty
Jiang, the kitty, has no patience for fishing, but knows how to wait when she's fishing for a dog. Lin, the puppy, is over the moon at being caught, wagging her tail like a propeller. She can't help herself and pounces, licking her all over.
Lin Zhi (the puppy) can't stand her new neighbor, Jiang Qingyun.
After years of being the proud, dazzling one, she keeps tripping up in front of the new iceberg.
When the dorm loses power, Jiang Qingyun has a panic attack, and Lin Zhi's infuriatingly kind nature springs to life in full force.
When Jiang Qingyun unexpectedly gets her period, an unintentional gesture preserves Lin Zhi's dignity.
Oh. So Jiang Qingyun isn't that annoying after all.
Lin Zhi starts to suspect that Jiang Qingyun is hiding a past no one knows about.
Little by little, the little sun's faint warmth melts the cold, unfeeling iceberg.
Later, after eighteen years adrift, Lin Zhi feels the warmth of home in Jiang Qingyun for the first time.
It takes a whole lot of love and courage to teach someone accustomed to hardship to be a little demanding.
A hidden attack comes.
"Are you hoping we'll get back together someday?"
"You can't push me away. I'm not leaving."
"Jiang Qingyun, how long are you going to keep running away? Do you have to fall off a cliff before you'll be satisfied? Tell me, what kind of ending do you want?"
Wounded and guarded, Jiang Qingyun (the kitty) moves to Yucheng. Her teenage years have been trapped in an endless night for years. Used to silence and solitude, she comes to this unfamiliar city hoping only to finish high school in peace.
When she first meets the prickly puppy (Lin Zhi), she never expects her long-dormant heart to feel something different.
The sun rises without a sound, and the shadows quietly fade.
Patiently luring her in, quietly laying the bait.
She coaxes a stray puppy who bites everyone she meets into coming home, then lovingly turns her into an affectionate clingy pup no one can push away.
A dog and a cat, and a perfectly happy life.
A cold arrow pierces the heart.
"Can you tell gratitude apart from love?"
"You wanted me dead for two years, but she wanted me to live..."
"This rain lasted six years."
