During the day, Shi Qing was an overworked office drone. At night, he was an obscure voice actor in the online dubbing scene. A total voice-lover, his only joy each day was falling asleep to the voice of Peizhou, a top online voice actor.
One day, after listening to the star's latest audio drama, Shi Qing excitedly recommended it to an online friend on Weibo, adding a string of shamelessly flirtatious remarks.
"That voice is so damn sexy, so spicy. I went weak in the knees and wanted to call him Daddy~~~"
After his shower, Shi Qing wondered why his friend, who was usually online around the clock, still hadn't replied.
He clicked into the chat and fell silent.
Ahhhhh, help! How did he send that to the star himself?!
And the window for unsending it had passed. Shi Qing frantically prayed that it hadn't been seen.
The next second, Weibo went "ding," and Shi Qing's face turned ashen.
He was doomed.
Xie Xun, known as "Peizhou" in the online dubbing scene, was a partner at a well-known video game company in real life. A single photo of him had once earned a million likes on the platform. One day, he logged into his long-neglected Weibo account and found that someone had doggedly sent him several messages.
Xie Xun found it amusing, so he replied.
"Thanks. That rhymes pretty well."
A few months later, they met in person.
Xie Xun hadn't expected that the guy who'd been so shamelessly flirtatious online would be so shy and quiet in person. Whenever Xie Xun got close, he was like a startled little lamb, obedient and soft.
Xie Xun got a mischievous idea and couldn't help teasing him.
He leaned down toward Shi Qing, bringing their faces suddenly close, and said in the deep, commanding voice Shi Qing liked best, "So you only like my voice, not me."
Shi Qing couldn't help covering his burning-red ears. "I... I like you too."
