On the eve of graduating high school, Qu Ci receives two things:
a perfectly healthy medical report and an anonymous love letter in familiar handwriting.
A few days later, the hospital suddenly calls to say his report was mixed up with someone else's, and his life is now on a countdown.
The person who wrote the love letter also vanishes that very same day.
After sitting dazed all night, Qu Ci decides to give up treatment and enter university like everyone else his age.
Attend classes as usual, take exams as usual, graduate as usual.
In the end, he'll buy a plane ticket to Country X and die quietly in an assisted-dying clinic.

Jiang Yu has had a secret crush on someone for years, his moonlight in the dark.

With his suddenly extended lifeline, Jiang Yu is overjoyed. He puts the misunderstanding from years ago behind him and finds out where Qu Ci is as quickly as he can.
When they meet again, Qu Ci is thin and pale, as if he's always sick.
But Jiang Yu thinks, at least there's still time.
He'll take care of Qu Ci, make a sincere confession without hiding behind anonymity, and give him a happy life.
Until one day, he discovers a few things in Qu Ci's room:
an anonymous love letter, a terminal diagnosis, a signed assisted-dying agreement, and a plane ticket to Country X.
It turns out he was never the one who was dying.
It was Qu Ci.
