I Came Back to Life, Only to Find My Former Daoist Partner, Who Killed Me, Made My Bones into a Bracelet. What Do I Do?

When A Jie pulled Cen Nianyan out of the mountain of corpses, he was nothing but a pile of broken bones. Zhu Jie put him back together bone by bone, then hid him in a desolate valley and cared for him for hundreds of years.

Hundreds of years passed. The news of the snake demon that had once brought calamity upon the world had become a legend. With a body of broken bones that creaked and groaned painfully whenever he moved, Cen Nianyan spent his days joking around with A Jie, and was content with his easy life.

He was a snake who had already died once, and all he wanted was to spend the rest of his days in peace. Unfortunately, his broken bones were a real nuisance. Even missing a single piece left his soul trembling with pain day after day.

Cen Nianyan had accepted it well enough, but A Jie wouldn't stand for it. So A Jie waved a hand and kicked him out of the valley, threatening that he couldn't come back until he found his bones.

Fine, I'll go look, Cen Nianyan thought. They're divine bones, so even one piece should be obvious. Finding it ought to be easy.

Who would have guessed that the broken bone would, by sheer coincidence, be growing in the body of the person he least wanted to encounter?

Qin Hongyu, his cultivation partner, and the man who had personally killed him that day.

Did he really have to get that bone back?
