My Neighbor’s Little Brother Dares to Covet My Boyfriend

I suspect my neighbor's younger brother has his eye on my boyfriend.

That neighbor boy is a well-behaved homebody. He never steps outside, and he's probably socially anxious. Even when he orders takeout, he asks the delivery driver to leave it at the door, not call, and not knock.

As far as I can remember, he's never said a word to me.

He hasn't even looked at me.

He's timid, and seems afraid of strangers.

But ever since I got a boyfriend, this kid has started showing up in my line of sight all the time. And most of the time, his eyes seem to be on () my boyfriend.

One time we were in the elevator together, and I couldn't hold back any longer. I stopped him.

"Hey, kid, I'm warning you. If you keep coveting my boyfriend, you'll regret it!"

"Big brother," the boy blinked. Maybe I imagined it, but there seemed to be a glimmer of anticipation in his eyes. "What exactly would you do to me?"

I reached up and took off his hat, brushing the hair from his forehead with my fingertips as I leaned in slightly. "You can find out."
