"Zhu Suian, if you had one chance to start over and change the future, what would you do?"
"I would watch her walk, step by step, toward the ending already set for her."
But when that moment came, in the instant she hesitated, she had already saved her entire world.
This is a story about how an answer that was "wrong" joins with the past to bring about the one and only right future.
A nontraditional cultivation novel. No ascension, no immortality, no golden finger, no rebirth, no being doted on by everyone, no System, no cultivation clans, no spiritual roots. Anyone can become an immortal, and cultivators cannot have children.
Cultivator types: spiritual cultivators, Ying cultivators, Yi cultivators, Jing cultivators, medicine cultivators, artifact cultivators, and soul cultivators.
Cultivation stages: Qi Refining → Foundation Establishment → Golden Core → Nascent Soul → Void Condensation → Deification → Integration → Great Ascension → Ultimate Perfection (bearing the will of all living beings and offering everything one has learned, done, cultivated, and possessed to become a rule of the Heavenly Dao).
Cultivation depends on insight. What you learn from books feels shallow until you put it into practice.
The world's origin: spirit.
The world was not created, but has existed eternally.
Its most fundamental process is "all things produce spirit." From rocks and plants to beasts and humans, everything in the world, tangible or intangible, continuously and gradually produces the most fundamental kind of energy as it exists: spirit.
Unconscious entities, which do not need to consume spirit, produce more of it. The opposite is true for those that do.
Malice forms when the "obsessions" of living beings infect spirit and cause it to mutate. It has no intelligence, cannot communicate, cannot be used, cannot cooperate, and cannot be destroyed. Its only instinct is to devour living things.
Updates every Thursday and Sunday, with occasional extra chapters.
Thesis: Protect, understand, and heal.
