After being cheated on by her ex, Qin Chuxi retreats to her home country to heal. On the very night she returns, she runs into her old classmate Song Jinshu. The two catch up at a bar, and somehow end up catching up at a hotel.
The next day, Qin Chuxi says she doesn't want a long-term, steady relationship.
Song Jinshu replies coldly, “If it's only going to happen once, we might as well make the most of it.”
They part on bad terms, only to find their work bringing them together again.
Song Jinshu takes hold of her and begs, humbly, “Use me... whether it's for feelings or anything else.”
And so they begin a strange relationship, almost like being in love, yet neither of them can bring themselves to put it into words, until Qin Chuxi can no longer lie to herself.
Just as she decides to confess to Song Jinshu, she gets caught...
