Five years ago, a great catastrophe dealt a devastating blow to the Bureau of Anomaly Investigation. Forced out from behind the scenes, they set up a forum and joined forces with all the superpowered people, struggling to maintain the balance of the world.
Five years ago, An Qi lost her mother, and her childhood friend disappeared. Her peaceful life was shattered. Her mother had told her that anomalies existed, but why could An Qi neither see nor hear anything? To her, the world had always been serene and tranquil.
For five years, An Qi searched for anomalies. She wept at graves, slept in crematoriums, stared into mirrors in the middle of the night, and burned her birth-date papers beside country lanes. But it wasn't until she opened a book in a library that she finally saw that world.
The Bureau of Anomaly Investigation's ads were prominently displayed on the homepages of every website, but An Qi didn't see them until she opened that book.
