Race car driver × female engineer disguised as a man
Five years ago, driver Xiao Linyan left. An Ran waited a full five years.
Five years later, they reunited, but Xiao Linyan didn't recognize An Ran.
To find out why she had left, An Ran cut her hair short, changed her glasses, took the name An Ran, and joined her ex-boyfriend's racing team.
On her first day at work, he walked past her and kept going, treating her like a stranger.
An Ran tried to get closer, but he remained cold and distant.
Later, she took her place at the pit-wall command stand and became his race engineer.
They worked together every day.
He didn't know who she was.
And she didn't tell him.
He said, "I can't remember your face, or how we began. But I remember looking for someone for five years. My mind forgot you, but my body remembers."
He said, "Could you let me get to know you again?"
An Ran said, "You can't even remember who I am. How can you get to know me again?"
He said, "Then tell me. What is your name? What do you like? Why don't you have a dimple on your left cheek? Tell me, and I'll remember."
He forgot her, and she became his race engineer.
Theme: Love isn't memory, it's instinct. Even when you can't remember, you can still choose to find your way back to someone.
