I Picked Up a Handsome Husband

After spending so long as the top assassin, Yi Cheng had grown accustomed to the bloodshed and the lonely heights.

She thought she could go on living a life of fighting and killing, always walking the knife's edge, until the day her Frost-Collecting Sword shattered and her martial arts were completely lost.

Furious enough to nearly spit blood, she could do nothing but travel to the distant north to recover.

But the quiet life made her want some amusement, so she took in a handsome man who was covered in wounds and had lost his memory.

He had refined features and a gentle temperament, and seemed mild-mannered and harmless.

Yi Cheng thought it wouldn't be bad to find herself a companion and settle down. She planned to give him her surname and name him Yi Yan, then hold a wedding ceremony and become husband and wife.

But she couldn't keep herself composed.

Ahem, she nearly failed to win over her handsome husband.

Still, beneath the quiet life, ripples stirred and undercurrents churned.

She planned to use her handsome husband's help to uncover the truth behind the loss of her martial arts.

But as they spent day after day together, she gradually sensed that he was hiding a tremendous secret.

Following the faint clues, she discovered that schemes and plots had long since entangled them both at the very center of fate.

Suspicion mounted, and a rift grew between them. Yi Cheng looked at the fair, refined "husband" beside her, her heart in turmoil.

Using her recovery as an excuse, Yi Cheng left Xie Heng. Perhaps only distance could help her see her true feelings more clearly.

But he traveled a thousand miles to find her. The tears falling to the ground struck Yi Cheng's heart with a heavy thud.

Perhaps this time, she really had taken things too far.
