Nuo Te is an information broker who travels between the gaps in the star regions.
A black-market job draws her into a turbulent game of strategy across the sea of stars.
The rational order of the Intelligent Network and the lament of sentient machines;
The infighting and scheming of the ancient beast royal clans;
The sealed secrets surrounding the origins of the spirit folk;
And the Returning Ruins Insect God, lurking in the shadows of the universe and endlessly repeating its cycles.
They probe the obsessions, fears, and resentments buried in living hearts, unleashing calamity through the cracks in civilization itself.
From a tiny information office in the Free Star Regions, all the way to the final battle in the starry sea.
Nuo Te only wanted to watch from the sidelines, but fate pushed her step by step toward the heart of the storm.
Countless people fell in the flames of war. Victory was never a clean, perfect triumph.
The smoke cleared, but the scars remained, and the shadow of the cycle had not entirely disappeared.
Those who survived carried the memories of the dead and continued onward.
[Reader's notes]
- Truly no CP. The female lead focuses on her career and intelligence work, concentrating on survival and strategy. There is no romance.
- A long ensemble story, with multiple factions and plotlines unfolding in parallel. Even good people have limitations, and no side is absolutely good or evil.
- Characters die in the final battle. The ending is open-ended and lingering, not a sweet or wish-fulfillment story.
Updates at 2 p.m. every day, at least one chapter.
Most of the ruins arc is pretty much the same as the worldbuilding, so I feel like there's a lot of information in it. But it's shorter than the spirit folk arc, which should have quite long chapters throughout.
Theme: Uphold order and stay true to your heart.
