[Mystery · Workplace · Two Female Leads · Not a Sweet Romance]
Shen Zhihuan makes a living cleaning up after the dead.
Hard drives, cloud storage, chat logs, unsent drafts. Whatever the family asks for, she gives them.
She only takes on the dead, never the living.
Seven years ago, someone wiped her clean once.
Posts, photos, ID pictures, phone number: everything disappeared overnight.
She always thought it was an accident. Someone had simply hit delete without thinking.
Until a twenty-five-year-old woman fell to her death, leaving behind a hard drive.
From a sector that had been overwritten three times, Shen Zhihuan recovered a four-minute fragment and traced it to a reputation-management firm.
The operator's ID in the signature field was L.Q.
And L.Q. is sitting across from her now. Dressed in black, speaking slowly, addressing her as "Miss Shen."
The water Lu Jianqing poured for her is warm.
She had only ever told one person at university that she had a weak stomach.

"In my line of work, I collect the dead people's letters. Once a letter reaches me, it belongs neither to me nor to you."
"The company's position is that if you continue to keep this material, we'll take legal action."
"Miss Shen. I'm all you have now."
