Before Ling Yan decided to kill herself, she wanted to meet the person she'd been dating online for three years. On the way, an unreliable System mistakenly bound her to the body of Ling Yan, a powerful figure in the cultivation world.
The original Ling Yan had secretly loved her eldest disciple for years. She beat and berated her second disciple, Gu Chi, forcing him to serve as a substitute for the eldest disciple!
The System's mission was to raise Gu Chi's corruption level and help him become the great villain who would destroy the entire cultivation world!
But faced with a second disciple who was so well-behaved, Ling Yan couldn't bring herself to be cruel to him!
Even when Gu Chi drugged her, directed the demon race to attack their sect, and secretly took pills to win her favor, Ling Yan treated it all as a child's foolish attempt to get attention.
But when Ling Yan gave her life to save Gu Chi, he turned back time and sent her to the moment of her birth...
The wheels of fate began to turn. System Ling Xi was judged negligent and assigned to Ling Yan, with both their lives on the line.
Ling Yan returned to the past with Ling Xi and began taking her cultivation seriously. Their journey would bring both laughter and tears.
But as she drew closer to the moment when she'd first transmigrated, more and more things began to go wrong.
It was as if some unseen force were pushing her toward a higher plane of existence.
Against all odds, Ling Yan set out on the path to godhood with her System, Ling Xi, by her side!
And her great villain of a disciple, Gu Chi?
Of course she was bringing him along too!
