I Save the World by Farming

After dying suddenly from staying up all night, Xu Youning opened his eyes to find himself lying in an uninhabited desert. Sand stretched in every direction, with no one in sight.

He walked alone through the desert for several days before a mercenary group found him and brought him back to their base. But he never imagined this was only the beginning of his struggle to survive.

The apocalypse, a wasteland, nuclear radiation, mutated plants and animals: even the most ordinary food was almost impossible to swallow. And, most outrageous of all, he was hungry every single day.

On the seventh day of trying to sleep through his hunger, Xu Youning had had enough. He threw off his covers and decided to fend for himself.

Looking at the patch of empty floor in his room, less than ten square meters in size, Xu Youning made up his mind: he would start by growing mushrooms and solve the problem of keeping himself fed.

Later, Xu Youning grew an ever-wider variety of crops, and his land kept expanding.

Then one day, he suddenly realized he had become the richest man in the world by farming. Along the way, he had even become a savior and rescued the planet.

At the celebration, Xu Youning looked down at the people gathered beneath the city walls, shouting his name again and again, his expression complicated.

Who could understand that all he had wanted in the beginning was to satisfy his appetite?

Suddenly, a big cat with sleek, glossy black fur crept up behind him. Before he could react, his back was pressed tight against a firm, warm chest, and he couldn't break free.

A pair of pale, powerful hands, veins standing out like knotted cords, easily pulled him into an embrace. The weight on his shoulder suddenly increased, and a stray lock of hair brushed his cheek.

A deep, magnetic voice sounded beside his ear, saying things that made his face flush and his heart race. “Will our God of Elan leave me alone in bed again tonight?”

Author's Note:

1. An apocalypse farming story, with a little world-building but not much. The pacing is on the slower side.

2. A fictional world with heaps of original details. Please don't overthink it.

The protagonist gong will learn the truth and cruelly cast you aside. The audience will revile you and warn others to avoid you, and the entertainment industry will blacklist you.

067: “Okay!”

The System stared in silence at 067, who was so out of control he wanted to fund and produce the entire show, and the protagonist gong, who was so worried 067 would be bullied that he had arranged twelve burly bodyguards for him.

[World Two] Inferior Omega

[You are a low-status, inferior Omega in the empire. You can neither smell nor release pheromones, and are excluded from the conventional gender categories. Cynical and resentful, you look at the protagonist shou, the empire's officially recognized highest-quality and most compatible Omega, and the protagonist gong, the Alpha heir to the throne, and swear to drag them both from their pedestals by any means necessary.]

067: “Okay!”

The System stared blankly at the protagonist gong, who, unable to receive calming pheromones from 067, went into a violent rut and proceeded to imprison him, build a nest with him, and make a baby with him in one fell swoop.

[World Three] The Good-for-Nothing Junior Disciple

067 transmigrates into the good-for-nothing, ungrateful junior disciple of a cultivation prodigy, Long Aotian, who had taken him in out of kindness. Because of 067, Long Aotian's cultivation is severely damaged and he has to start all over again. But the System watches as the protagonist, Long Aotian, becomes so despondent after his junior disciple's failed attempt at body snatching that he even wants to offer his own body willingly, and is left speechless.

[World Four] The Fake Young Master of a Wealthy Family...

[World Five]...

[World Six]...

For the Nth time, System 666 watches 067 follow the plot exactly as instructed, only for the protagonist gong to become madly infatuated with 067, the villainous antagonist. It's as if the protagonist gong has eaten poisonous mushrooms, and System 666 begins to question its very existence as a cat.

Reader's Guide:

1. Adorable, sweet kitty shou (067) x devoted, possessive big-shot gong (Lu Yanjing).

2. 1v1, happy ending. The gong and shou are always the same person. Both are pure in body and heart, and there are no split personalities.
