Tu Ye, a man who ran off with a bun in the oven.
No, correction:
Tu Ye, a man who ran off with a kid in tow.
Awakened by an antique Skill, Tu Ye rescues two warships, Vermilion Bird and Black Tortoise, from a desperate situation.
With two whole warships full of pureblood human brats, no food, no water, and no fuel, how is he supposed to make his getaway?
Without looking back, Tu Ye pulls a "borrow arrows with straw boats" and steals the enemy ships' energy, along with Qin Shubao, a general in the Tushan Space Force.
All he wants is to return to Tushan Star and have his "wanted order" lifted, then run off with the kids. He never meant to stir up such a huge mess, but he single-handedly changed the whole world's outlook and claimed the top spot on the "Pureblood Humans Who Ran Off With a Kid" list.
In the midst of all the trouble, Qin Shubao's true identity comes to light. Only then does Tu Ye realize that Qin Shubao is his old acquaintance, Beiye Jun.
To avenge the arrow Beiye Jun shot at him years ago, Tu Ye fires his gun and wounds him. But Beiye Jun doesn't retaliate. Instead, he leaves Tu Ye his position as general and runs off with the kids himself.
They meet again on the battlefield.
Tu Ye looks away from the dazzling light in Beiye Jun's eyes as he smiles. "Why are you wearing my face?"
Beiye Jun's lips curve into a faint smile. "I believe in life and death, and in the spirits of those who have passed on. I wanted you to see me, and to live up to what you hoped I could be."
