Synopsis
▲ Self-loathing heir to a Hong Kong business empire × bright and sunny young lady who works as a landscape designer
▲ Healing romance | Hong Kong vibes | Wealthy family | Age gap
Liang Chengxi, the heir to the Liang family, has always been a prominent figure in Hong Kong.
Gifted and famous from a young age, he led the Liang business empire to its peak while still in his early twenties.
But fate had other plans.
A sudden accident took his brother's life.
Consumed by guilt and grief, he changed completely, withdrew from public view, and cut off all contact with the outside world.
Functional movement disorder, traumatic hearing loss...
The combined physical and psychological pain left him struggling to breathe.
Physical wounds can heal, but a troubled heart is harder to mend.
Six months after the shocking news broke across Hong Kong, Zhou Xintong met Liang Chengxi for the first time.
The once-illustrious young man was now frail and sickly, having shut himself away in a world of his own.
A landscape designer, she had been commissioned to inspect the grounds and was making her first site visit.
Who could have guessed that the young master, rumored never to leave his home, would open the door himself?
Zhou Xintong was taken aback, but quickly put on a professional smile. “Hello, Mr. Liang. Your mother hired me to survey the garden in person.”
The man in the wheelchair said nothing. After pointing her in the right direction, he did not appear again.
Zhou Xintong couldn't help feeling sorry for him. What a cruel twist of fate.
The second time they met was also at the hillside villa.
Zhou Xintong arrived with her completed proposal, intending to explain and present it on site.
This time, she was greeted by a stranger who looked remarkably like Liang Chengxi.
He introduced himself. “Hello, I'm Liang Chengxi's younger brother, Liang Jinghuai.”
The two chatted amiably in the garden.
After they finished discussing the project, Zhou Xintong was about to leave.
Then a voice suddenly came from nearby. “Brother, why are you standing over there? Why don't you come over?”
Liang Jinghuai hurried over and fussed over the man, asking him how he was doing.
The man remained expressionless, only occasionally nodding or shaking his head.
For some reason, Liang Jinghuai suddenly changed the subject. “Brother, I heard Miss Zhou has a gift for you. Shall I ask her to come over?”
After the man gave his silent approval, Liang Jinghuai waved to her from across the garden.
Zhou Xintong walked over with a bouquet in her arms and bent down to meet the man's gaze. “Mr. Liang, these flowers are for you. I hope they brighten your days.”
Liang Chengxi lowered his eyes to the white bouquet resting on his lap.
The snowdrop's language of flowers is hope in adversity.
…
Liang Chengxi wasn't wearing his hearing aids, so the sounds around him were indistinct.
He could only rely on lip-reading to make out, more or less, what Zhou Xintong was saying.
He wondered if her voice was probably gentle and sweet.
After that, they met countless more times.
One thing never changed: from that day on,
Zhou Xintong brought Liang Chengxi a bouquet of flowers every time she visited.
Three months later, the garden was complete.
Holding the last bouquet, Zhou Xintong said goodbye to the man. “Mr. Liang, white narcissus symbolizes new beginnings and hope. I hope this newly created garden gives you a little strength to keep moving forward.”
A flicker of emotion stirred in the eyes of the usually taciturn man.
After hesitating for a few seconds, Liang Chengxi gathered his courage and spoke. “Miss Zhou, would you consider becoming my floral design teacher?”

Reader's note:
1. Because of an accident, the male lead has temporary problems with his legs and hearing. After getting together with the female lead, he actively pursues treatment and eventually recovers. His serious physical conditions are mostly healed, though he never quite regains his former strength. But he'll still rise to the occasion when it counts (that's important)!!!
2. The leads are six years apart in age. They come from equally well-matched families, and both have loving, happy family backgrounds. They are each other's first and only love, and neither has any troubling values.
3. This is a healing romance, and both the male and female leads are wonderful people.
Theme: You are the bright color that suddenly entered my gloomy world
