My Nemesis Keeps Acting Out Angsty Romance Plots with Me

[Saving this for later]

“Fake domineering CEO with a snarky inner monologue and an overactive imagination, gong × wildly dramatic, arrogant, and ultra-cool shou”

Chu Xiuning is the villainous rich kid in a modern power fantasy novel, the type who sets traps and trips up the protagonist's archenemy.

When his enemy is unhappy, he claps in delight. When his enemy is happy, he hangs his head in disappointment.

Knowing that sooner or later he'd end up at his enemy's feet, headed for the classic ending where the sky turns cold and the company goes bankrupt, Chu Xiuning gives up completely. He half-heartedly goes through the motions and, in his spare time, develops a secret new hobby.

Reading trashy romance novels.

In the morning, he heads out to play the domineering CEO. At night, he curls up in bed, squealing over sweet scenes, agonizing over melodrama, and banging his head against his pillow over outrageous plot twists.

Until one day, his archenemy acts out one of those trashy novel tropes in real life, with Chu Xiuning as the victim.

Year X, Month X, Day X, Monday, sunny.

Ye Youze traps him in the elevator, pins his hands, and says,

“If you dare run away again, I'll lock you up.”

Year X, Month X, Day X, Tuesday, sunny.

Ye Youze drags him into the restroom.

“Go on, run! Next time, I won't even let you get to your feet.”

Year X, Month X, Day X, Wednesday, rainy.

Ye Youze holds an umbrella over him and pulls him into his arms.

“I'll get people to treat your grandmother's illness. You just have to be good and do as you're told!”

Year X, Month X, Day X, Thursday, cloudy...

Chu Xiuning: ...

Chu Xiuning: H-help! I want the floor to swallow me whole!

How can this be so embarrassing?!!!

Chu Xiuning suspects this is his evil archenemy's revenge.

Fine.

He hereby declares Ye Youze the winner. He's given up, okay?

What a despicable business tactic!

If he doesn't teach Ye Youze a lesson, the guy will never know who's the gong!

“My Archenemy Did This to Me...”

“Is It a Distortion of Human Nature, or a Collapse of Morality?”

▲ Gong's perspective. Both are pure in body and mind. Happy ending, no breakups or role reversal. Both have intense feelings for each other.

▲ I want to write a goofy, cheesy story packed with my favorite kinks. The kink list is full, and there are tentacles.

▲ If it's not to your taste, stop reading in time. Don't force yourself.

▲ Not recommended for extreme gong- or shou-fans. Every plot point serves the story.

▲ Fictional, with an imaginary world setting. Do not conflate it with reality.

▲ Synopsis written on September 6, 2026.
