Pei Jinnian is a nine-tailed fox demon who has lived for ten thousand years. After retiring, he spends his days doing nothing in the human world, drinking tea and basking in the sun. Life could hardly be more peaceful.
Until an obscure young star moves in next door. During a livestream, the star turns back into his true form and tumbles onto the table. Pei Jinnian casually scoops him up and scratches under his chin.
