Rumor had it that the fiancée of His Highness the Third Prince, the younger brother of the Temple Master and the purest direct descendant of the Shi family, Shi Zongmi, had suddenly vanished.
The rumor was no baseless gossip. One look at the gloomy expression on the Third Prince, their mild-mannered, wise, and most likely candidate to become Crown Prince, was enough to tell.

Shi Zongting was practically out of his mind. Heaven knew how devastated he'd been when he heard Shi Zongmi was pregnant. Gripping Yuan Yuche by the collar, he glared at him with jade-green eyes streaked red, forcing the words out through clenched teeth:
"You actually got Xiao Mi pregnant... How dare you get my brother pregnant with your child!"
The words made Yuan Yuche swallow the mouthful of blood he was about to spit out.
"You... what did you say?"
Shi Zongting stared at his utterly bewildered expression, his heart burning with rage until he felt ready to spit blood. He fought the urge to punch him again and was about to let go when the Crown Prince grabbed his wrist instead, gripping so hard he could have crushed the bone!
The Crown Prince's gaze was dazed at first, then suddenly softened with tenderness.
"...It wasn't a dream. It was real."
It really was his fiancée.
1. Xiao Mi can lay eggs! He can have children, lay eggs, even lay twin-yolk eggs! The ultimate personal fetish! Lots of pregnancy scenes.
2. This is a fictional setting, possibly with a fairly traditional Western fantasy feel. No real-world inspiration or allegory. All the worldbuilding is there to make it easier for Xiao Mi to carry an egg.
3. Two childish leads who have never been with anyone else. At first, the top doesn't realize he's in love, while the bottom is a spoiled, willful kid. Neither is perfect, and they both grow. Please be patient with them.
