Blurb:
At her high school reunion five years later, Li Zhi sees the boy she had secretly pined for throughout high school.
But by now, she can calmly admit that she once liked Gu Yuchuan, the secret that had defined her entire teenage years.
She isn't the only one shocked. Gu Yuchuan, the person at the very center of it all, is just as stunned.
When Li Zhi goes to the restroom to touch up her makeup, Gu Yuchuan follows her out.
He has so much he wants to say to her. He wants to ask if she has a boyfriend now, and whether he still has a chance.
They haven't seen each other in five years, and Gu Yuchuan doesn't know how to bring it up. Just like in high school, when he liked Li Zhi but didn't dare tell her. He worried she might not like him as much as he imagined, and feared that if he confessed, they might never be friends again.
"Um, did you need something?" Li Zhi stopped caring long ago that she once liked Gu Yuchuan, but seeing his face confirms there was a good reason she liked him back then.
"I want to know if I still have a chance." Gu Yuchuan nervously reveals the secret he's kept in his heart for years. "Actually, I liked you back then, too."
"Mm, thank you for liking me." After saying this, Li Zhi leaves. She doesn't go back to old flames.
Before Gu Yuchuan starts pestering her, Li Zhi thinks she'll be able to get on with her work without a hitch.
Gu Yuchuan is like a little tail she can't shake. He keeps showing up at her workplace out of nowhere, claiming he's there to walk her home after work.
Li Zhi really can't deal with a guy this hopelessly straightforward, but if he keeps this up every day, sooner or later something is bound to happen.
"I don't understand why you're doing this."
"Can I pursue you?"
"Have you ever seen someone pursue another person?"
"No, so I'm learning."
Bold and resolute, a radiant ray of sunshine, Li Zhi (host) VS. Tongue-tied in high school, fiercely competitive at work, Gu Yuchuan (finance professional)
