Crossing the Moonlit Clear Waters

The immortal sects are vast, and countless schools stand side by side, with Hualing Sect reigning at the summit of the Immortal Realm. Shen Qingchen, the Qinglan Immortal Venerated by all and feared by all, follows the Path of Ruthlessness. He wears a moon-white immortal robe, his silver hair gleaming with a cool light, and his pale, glazed blue-gray eyes are perpetually veiled in mist. Noble and aloof, cold and distant, he strictly observes the hierarchy between master and disciple, regarding romantic love as a worldly distraction. Though he appears indifferent and heartless, his presence carries an innate air of oppression. In truth, hidden deep within him is a compassion and tenderness he rarely reveals. Mo Yan is a lonely boy from a small town. His parents are both dead, but they left him enough to get by. He has long, raven-black hair and amber-brown eyes. He sees through the Immortal Venerated's hard exterior to the tenderness beneath and presses forward step by step, refusing to be content with their master-disciple relationship.

One clings to his Dao heart and struggles to flee, while the other pursues him with burning, stubborn determination. Shen Qingchen, once a supreme figure devoted to the Path of Ruthlessness, gradually breaks the convictions he has held for years. His restraint turns to obsession, and his self-control gives way to surrender. Mo Yan sheds the obedience of youth, revealing the wild edge within him, and races toward the exalted Immortal Venerated with all the courage his lonely heart can muster.

The young man also has three close friends his own age. Wen Muli is refined and composed, the peacemaker who keeps everyone's spirits steady. Shen Li is carefree and unruly, with a devil-may-care attitude. Lu Xiaojing is quick-witted and an expert at gathering information. He is always bickering with Shen Li, and Wen Muli has to step in to smooth things over. The four set out together from their small town, determined to escape the confines of their homeland and make for Hualing Sect in Wanhua City. Hualing Sect has two more vice sect leaders: Xie Yun, who often wears a wine-red immortal robe and is free-spirited and unrestrained, and Lin Xin, who wears a blue-green robe and is gentle and modest.

On the long road to immortality, Dao and love stand opposed, while hierarchy clashes with desire. In the Immortal Realm, entangled destinies slowly unfold.
