On her first day back in the country, she woke up in Xu Youlin's bed.

She'd gone to great lengths to avoid him for five years, only to ruin it all by getting drunk.

She said stiffly, "It was an accident."

"You didn't say that when you were undoing my belt last night."

Her voice trembled. "But I have a fiancé now."

"Really? Sleeping with someone else's fiancée is even more exciting."

"Does your fiancé know you slept with an actor you used to manage?"

He thought, So she really has forgotten everything.

That winter, she'd helped him rehearse for a role ahead of time.

In a cramped rental apartment, she'd sat on his bed, crying pitifully:

"I shouldn't have gotten you those intimate scenes. I can't stand the thought of you being like that with someone else."

Back then, she was his agent. She'd picked him up when he had nothing, cradled his face, and kissed him.

"Youlin, you'll become a superstar everyone loves."

But later, she was so afraid he'd cling to her.

Why else would she rather lie that she was dead than let him go when they broke up?

The lover she once had became a superstar adored by millions.

Even when so much time had passed that even saying hello felt like a luxury, Zhou Zichu was sincerely proud of Xu Youlin.

Xu Youlin, a superstar, was someone she'd helped make!

Later, she saw the dense scars on Xu Youlin's body, the drawer full of antidepressants, and countless letters he'd written to her but never sent.

Late at night, she gently kissed away the tears on the cheeks of the person in her arms.

"Puppy, you've been through so much. Thank you for making our dream come true."

"But I think I've let you down so many times."
