Hello, I'm from the Psychiatric Hospital

[First person, read at your own risk]

[The focus is on outsmarting others. The protagonist is taciturn and emotionless, but everyone thinks he is loyal and deeply devoted.]

When Chen He opened his eyes, he found himself in a world after the apocalypse.

Earth had become a dumping ground for the unevolved. The social order had been reshuffled: the strong rose to the top, while the weak sank to the bottom. And Earth, which had once belonged to everyone, had become the stage for a survival livestream broadcast to the entire universe.

Chen He was the 5,031st contestant.

The final winner would earn the right to have any wish granted.

The host checked his information. "Your identity doesn't match your registered birthplace. Where were you born? Could you tell us?"

He'd picked up his number off the ground.

He'd made up his own identity.

Chen He: "I don't know either. I just got out of a mental hospital."

The host: "If you have a wish you want granted, go in, then." (He won't live much longer anyway.)

And so, Chen He followed the surging crowd, some furious, some despairing, some burning with ambition, and stepped into the Earth livestream with an expressionless face.

"So this is how everyone outside lives."

"I've learned something."

Teammate: "You're working so hard. Do you have a wish you want granted, too?"

Chen He: "Does experiencing life count?"
