Synopsis

Xia Suimian x Mu Jiumo

Two boys grew up together, secretly in love with each other, yet both believing the other only saw them as a "brother."

At last, they made it through the gaokao exams. They planned to get into Nancheng University together, just so they could "have each other for company." On the day of Xia Suimian's college entrance celebration, he slipped away from his bodyguards to buy a cake for Mu Jiumo. On his way home, he was in a car accident and fell into a coma.

The words he spoke in his final moments, "Momo, I like you," and the university acceptance letter he would never see again seemed to have lost all meaning.

Xia Suimian was reborn as a high school freshman, determined to change his fate. The System's prompts were mechanical and merciless. When he was erased from the System's world, he vanished in Mu Jiumo's arms. Meanwhile, in the true "real world," Mu Jiumo sat beside Xia Suimian's hospital bed, holding his hand and trembling as he watched the heart monitor's readings plunge before falling still.

He panicked. Xia Suimian was dead.

What about that supposed rebirth? Did Xia Suimian get to fall in love with Mu Jiumo all over again? No, never. From the very beginning, that rebirth had only been a dream, a final parade of memories belonging to Xia Suimian.

The dream was over, but Xia Suimian would never wake up.

And Mu Jiumo became the "young master of the Mu family who went mad," as others called him.
