He Shixu was hit by a car on his way to report a crime. When he opened his eyes again, he wasn't in a hospital but in an unfamiliar place. He had no phone or ID, making him an undocumented nobody who didn't even dare call the police.
After spending two days sleeping on the street, he called his nemesis, Wei Jin, with an attitude of giving up on everything. The moment the call connected, He Shixu shouted at him to come get him.
The instant he saw Wei Jin, tears streamed down his face. "Wei Jin, hurry and save me."
Wei Jin said, "You hate me so much. Why should I save you?"

Wei Jin said, "You can if you marry me."
