Zhu Chongba never thought that he would join the army in his life.
He was originally a cattle herder, then a beggar, and then a monk who knocked wooden fish. I thought that my whole life would be like this - alms, sweeping, eating, and sleeping every day. The days were as slow as the moss on the well platform, and there was no one to care about the stone steps.
But someone in Haozhou pulled down the flag, and the battles in the south were fought one after another. He squatted on the threshold of the temple and drank a bowl of porridge, put the bowl down, stood up, tightened the hatchet on his waist, and walked out the door without looking back.
He didn't know what was waiting for him ahead. The fire in Poyang Lake burned for three days and three nights, burning one man's fleet, but it could not burn away the inexplicable thing in another man's heart. He stood on the shore and watched the wreckage floating on the water. The wind blew from the other side of the lake, carrying the smell of burnt water and the fishy smell of water, making his face, which had been exposed to the sun all day, feel cold.
Someone asked him: Are you still leaving?
He thought for a while. There is wind in the distance, bamboo leaves are rustling nearby, someone is sitting opposite, and the lamp is on in the middle, and it does not go out or waver.
"Let's go," he said, "but not today."
A story about people slowly becoming "themselves" in troubled times. From monk to general, from Zhu Chongba to Zhu Yuanzhang, there were many sleepless nights and many bowls of hot and cold soup.
Reading Guide
A historical fan, Zhu Yuanzhang's early growth line, not a textual research party, with reference to "History of the Ming Dynasty" and related historical materials, with reasonable imagination and filling (currently written for fun, I don't think there will be readers; and novice writers must not write well [fake crying])
It was probably written at the beginning of the army and the end of the Battle of Poyang Lake. It was a phased ending.
It won't cover what happened after he ascended the throne, because he can't write and doesn't understand the emperor.
Intention: Live well and make progress every day
