Financial drone Shu Weisong became obsessed with an investment-pick novel called Embrace the Sword and Buy Shares: Who Is the Sect's Saintess in Love With?
When she finally reached the author's ending update, she saw readers in the comments complaining that the story had gone off the rails. She immediately joined in, furious, and fainted in the company restroom.
When she opened her eyes again, she had become Wei Song, a minor cannon-fodder character in the original novel.
Author: Aren't you such an expert on the plot? Here's the pen. You write it!
Forced to take up a sword and venture deep into the sect, Wei Song decided that she didn't care which couple was the most popular. She would get any pair together first.
Today, she staged the iconic scene where the young heiress rescues the delicate flower. Tomorrow, she would egg on sworn enemies to challenge each other for love. Even the demon saintess from the neighboring mountain seemed to have a secret crush on the heroine?
She put the same effort into it that she used to manage her clients' investments, practicing swordsmanship while playing matchmaker, but nothing ever worked out. By chance, she discovered a trash stock she'd overlooked while reading: Xie Yu, the "repeat student," was always sabotaging her plans from behind the scenes.
Wait, this person didn't seem to be after the heroine!
As the people at the foot of the mountain lived in peace and prosperity, and the heroine and the young heiress gradually grew closer, Wei Song realized that the trash stock called Xie Yu kept following her around!
"Junior Sister Wei, you're always worrying about other people. Have you ever thought about how you're going to survive your own trial of mortal love?"
The hand she used to guide Wei Song's sword grip slowly tightened. A loose strand slipped from the bun she usually wore high, brushing against Wei Song's neck.
"Choose me. I'm a sure bet."
An optimistic, lie-flat junior sister who just wants to take it easy × a sickly elder who seems like a good-for-nothing in public but pulls the strings behind the scenes
