Entrusting the Rest of My Life to Rivers and Seas

In the first year of the Shenghe era, a new emperor ascended the throne.

The court had much rebuilding to do, while the martial world flourished.

At just eighteen, Jiang Shiyu rode alone on a white horse and fought the top ten masters together. With his own strength, he reshaped the martial world and claimed the top spot on the masters' list.

He then revived his sect, upheld justice, and made a name for himself throughout the martial world.

A young man at the summit, peerless in his brilliance.

Everyone thought he would reign over the martial world for decades. Only he knew he was terminally ill and had little time left.

Now that his long-held wish had been fulfilled, he left a letter entrusting everything to the junior sect brother he had grown up with, dependent on him for survival. Then he slipped away without a word, intending to roam the martial world with nothing but a white robe and a sword, living freely until the end of his days.

But barely a little of that remaining life had passed when a small mishap occurred.

His junior sect brother found him with ease and took him back.

Jiang Shiyu didn't let him know about his terminal illness.

His junior sect brother was kind-hearted and had depended on him ever since childhood. Jiang Shiyu only wanted him to believe that he was now roaming the martial world freely, never to be heard from again.

Jiang Shiyu managed to placate him, then quietly slipped away again.

This time, his usually obedient junior sect brother actually stood in his way with a sword. His gaze was shadowy as he said lightly, "If you still want to leave everything behind and run away, then we can't remain senior and junior sect brothers..."

The sword swept toward him, but Jiang Shiyu neither retreated nor blocked it, and showed no fear.

The cold blade didn't hurt him at all. It merely lifted his chin. "...Then we'll have to be husband and husband."
