Adorable, airheaded little zombie shou × scheming older gong
Jiang Huan was a little zombie. After the Taoist priest who raised him died, he was forced to wander alone in the remote mountains.
Jiang Huan always remembered the old Taoist's last request: once he came of age, he had to find the old man's successor.
After counting on his fingers and waiting for seventeen whole years, the little zombie finally decided to leave the mountains. Before he left, he said goodbye to his monkey brothers in the woods and received a big sack of bananas.
The moment he stepped into the human world, the little zombie got into a car accident.
He was fine, but the car went flying.
A man who looked nothing like the other monkeys climbed out of the car. Jiang Huan grabbed the man's pant leg and asked him, "You, know, the successor?"
The bad news: he didn't know the successor.
The good news: he was a good person. He not only took Jiang Huan into the city, but also let him spend the night in a blue-and-white building.
It was only later that Jiang Huan learned the place was a police station, and the man he'd hit was called Qin Mo. He'd heard Qin Mo was very rich.
He didn't know what money was. He only knew his bananas were still in Qin Mo's car.
After completing his sentence, the little zombie finally found Qin Mo again, after many twists and turns.
But something had happened to the human. His eyes were bloodshot and his expression was frighteningly dark. He pounced on Jiang Huan and bit his lip.
The next day, Qin Mo woke up and saw a young man who hadn't been there before in his bed. All he felt was a headache coming on.
There was no helping it. He'd slept with the kid, so he had to take responsibility.
Fortunately, the kid was easy to keep. One tomato was enough to placate him. During the day, Qin Mo barely had to look after him. He'd go out on his own to look for some so-called successor and come home for a while at night.
The young man had a pair of beautiful gray-blue eyes, but seemed to know nothing about the ways of the world.
Qin Mo had never seen anyone munching on a banana in the shower before, and the kid also always liked squeezing in beside him to sleep.
Qin Mo had severe mysophobia, especially when it came to people. He hated all physical contact. Strangely, though, he didn't feel disgusted when this young man touched him.
At first, he could reassure himself that it was just like having an extra pillow. But later, even the young man's smooth skin and the faint current of air from his breathing could easily stir a reaction in Qin Mo.
After one accident, Qin Mo coaxed the young man into letting him kiss him again. From then on, the old house caught fire, and there was no putting it out.
Bonus scene:
One day, Jiang Huan thought he might be about to die.
He couldn't get through to his husband, and he didn't have much time left. So Jiang Huan tearfully recorded a final confession for Qin Mo, then lay flat on the bed and waited for the Grim Reaper.
But the Grim Reaper never came. Jiang Huan fell asleep first.
Only when Qin Mo broke down the door and rushed in, anxiously pulling him into his arms, did Jiang Huan learn that he wasn't dead.
Qin Mo, badly shaken, questioned him for quite a while before finding out that all this was because Jiang Huan had eaten a clove of garlic.
"The book said vampires die if they eat garlic." Jiang Huan fiddled with his fingers, not daring to look Qin Mo in the eye.
Qin Mo's face darkened. He wanted to swallow Jiang Huan whole. "You're a zombie, an Eastern vampire. The Western rules don't apply to you."
