[Alluring, frail master on the receiving end x scheming, ruthless, loyal Ghost King on the giving end]
Wen Luli, a prodigy who made a name for himself young and devoted himself to forbidden arts, was one of only two immortals who could defeat anyone in the world before turning fifteen. Now he has lost his memory.
Just a moment ago, he was picking herbs on a hillside and saying something to the person behind him...
So how did he end up tied to a bed in a little room covered in Bagua mirrors????
He can't remember who the people in his memories are, or even who he is.
A man enters carrying a bowl of medicinal soup. He claims to be Wen Luli's disciple, and says he has been carefully looking after him ever since he was injured.
Wen Luli looks in the mirror. His appearance hasn't changed at all. His lips are pale, his cheeks gaunt, and he looks as if he might faint at any moment. Even walking a few steps leaves him gasping for breath.
His disciple feeds him the soup, wipes him down, and replaces the herb sachet hanging beside the bed...
But he still doesn't untie him.
That night
His disciple climbs onto the bed and deftly strips off Wen Luli's clothes. "Master, your disciple will treat your illness."
Strange incidents are breaking out everywhere, and objects carrying Wen Luli's aura are appearing in different places. Each time, a strange person turns up to help him and says all sorts of bizarre things.
They tell him to hurry up and remember, or to watch the people around him, and go on and on. Wen Luli can't make heads or tails of any of it.
Then, on the night when the gates of the underworld open wide for the Ghost Festival, he is swept into the Ghost Realm. Following the flow of ghosts, he reaches the Ghost King's bedchamber and sees the person lying on the bed...
It turns out his disciple is the Ghost King.
Wen Luli accepts this fact in just 0.1 seconds, but Xie Siyou starts acting awkward.
He no longer holds him while they sleep, no longer holds his hand when they walk, and no longer lets him kiss him when he wants spiritual power.
Wen Luli wakes in the middle of the night, chilled to the bone, and sees Xie Siyou kneeling beside the bed, head bowed as he admits his guilt. "Master, your disciple deserves to die. I was wrong about what happened before."
Wen Luli: ^_^
Good news: His disciple has admitted his mistake on his own.
Bad news: He didn't lose his memory. He died once, and his soul was damaged.
Reading guide: A beauty trains his dog.
The truth behind his amnesia will keep taking unexpected turns.
Don't overthink the underlying logic.
Theme: Love is what endures through time.
