On the first day of the first year of high school, Shen Chi, who excels in science, has a new deskmate - Lin Zhiyi, who excels in liberal arts.
One is a cool and rational academic who is almost cold, and is accustomed to using formulas to deduce everything, including interpersonal relationships; the other is a gentle and elegant academic who has severe difficulty in making choices. He even has to queue three times in the cafeteria to decide what to eat.
Lin Zhiyi has a pink diary with a password lock, in which he records "observation reports" on his deskmates in neat handwriting. Shen Chi picked up the diary, and after hesitating all night, he left a line on the title page: "It returns to its original owner, please don't worry."
The next day, there was a line of pencil writing on the last page of the diary: "You can read it. Anyway, it's all about you."
From then on, a diary became a secret message board between two people. The paper is filled with a hundred words that I dare not say in person, but each one is calmer and more stuttering than the other.
Eight lunch boxes on the rooftop, penguin dolls in the amusement park, "raise your eyebrows" at the entrance of the second-hand bookstore, a wall covered with candid photos, and more than 30 scrap manuscripts filled with dates but did not dare to write down - it took them two full years to complete a confession from "secret observation" to "blatant" between the lines of the diary.
This is a story about "how rational people fall in love". It is also a story about "two people who kept diaries for two years and finally learned to speak out in person".
The diary is still being written. The story has just begun.
