What does a person become after death?
There's a saying in the countryside that when a person dies, their soul is left without a master, and an immortal will come to gather their allotted fate. The one destined for that fate will then live free and easy.
But this is only a rumor.
And this is nothing but a dream whose truth is unknown, a promise made in the spring that will never be fulfilled, a street-side tale, one person's account, a play, and nothing more.
Two male leads. Clean romance, no wish fulfillment. The story uses national personifications as its framework. The plot stands on its own and does not involve real-world politics. Please don't project it onto reality or attack the characters. Read thoughtfully.
