A sharp-tongued, loyal Alpha shou x a gentle, gravity-wielding, deceptively innocent Enigma gong
Duan Yao casually tossed aside the paternity test and lifted his chin.
“Kid, you say you came from the future? Who gave birth to you?”
Duan Yao was a top-tier Alpha with a beautiful face, a privileged background, and money to burn. But he was short-tempered and hated children, a rich young master nobody wanted to cross.
The kid was practically a miniature Duan Yao, and pointed at him with a tiny finger.
Duan Yao’s expression cracked.
He was an Alpha! A straight man! How could he possibly have a child?
Word got out that the kid had no dad, and some people couldn’t sit still.
His abstinent, upright Beta nemesis handcuffed him. “Tell me where the kid came from. Was it that time...”
A sweet, flirtatious top-tier star Omega traced a cool fingertip across his lower abdomen. “How about I fill this up for you?”
A cold, proud Alpha who ruled a powerful family personally delivered an invitation. “I refuse to call off our engagement.”
Duan Yao was stunned. “Have you all gone mad?”
His adjutant, Jiang Xuheng, handed him a freshly peeled orange. He had already picked out all the white pith Duan Yao hated.
As Duan Yao chewed, he muttered through the sweet-and-sour taste, “Buddy, help me keep them away!”
Jiang Xuheng looked at his puffed-up cheeks, hiding the darkness in his eyes. “I have a good way to make sure they never come looking for you again.”
Duan Yao was delighted. “Why didn’t you say so sooner? I knew I could count on you.”
He thought his own adjutant was the least trouble of all:
He was a Beta, too, well-behaved, broad-shouldered, narrow-waisted, and handsome. He looked like he’d be popular with young Omegas.
He could have made it on his own long ago, but he still chose to stay here.
Wah, a good buddy sticks with you for life!
Duan Yao never noticed the wariness in those people’s eyes after Jiang Xuheng returned their invitations.
That night, Duan Yao was sore all over.
“Some reliable guy you are! How are you an Enigma? Who said you could knot me? Get out, get out! If you don’t listen, I’ll throw you to the sharks!”
Jiang Xuheng reverently kissed the mottled, reddened nape of his neck and murmured soothingly,
“I’m so sorry. Are you angry? It won’t hurt once you’re fully adjusted.”
Duan Yao’s unfocused eyes narrowed as he rasped, “That’s not the point!”
#SC, with a child; no childbirth plot in the main story, though pregnancy may occur
#The shou is an Alpha and the gong is an Enigma. There is no plot where an Alpha turns into an Omega, but isn’t this just an Enigma’s special kind of Omega?
