Mori Ta: Yokohama's Five Towers Go Up in Flames

Older brother: Dazai Osamu / Boss Dazai

Father: Mori Ogai

Mother: Dazai's other half

Synopsis:

The day my older brother died, I saw the Port Mafia building go up in flames. Father wanted to take me with him, but Uncle Verlaine came for me too. He said my brother had entrusted me to him, so I didn't go with Father. At last, I changed my surname from Mori to Dazai.

I had still had a complete family before that... Then, in a single night, it all vanished.

I had a family, a family that was outwardly whole but inwardly divided.

A father who pretended to dote on me, a cold and distant mother, an older brother with hidden troubles, an older sister who was a puppet, and me: born outside the ordinary, hiding the ability to read minds and possessing a healing power Father valued.

Mori Iko. That was my name in the past.

I thought I had forgotten those old memories, but after finding my childhood diaries, I realized I had never forgotten them.

From what the elders knew and from my own memories, I discovered why my brother finally succeeded in taking his own life.
