[Egg Yolk is the dog's name ◤•͈ᴥ•͈◥ ୭]
I found a little dog, but there was no way my parents would let me keep it.
I kept it anyway, feeding it leftovers from my meals and treats bought with money I'd earned through hard work.
It grew strong and healthy, until it grew old and died peacefully.
I buried it in the hills behind our house.
*
The little dog had two different faces, one by day and another by night.
The little boy next door was always hiding from me, too.
Mom said he slept deeply at night and couldn't be woken.
I thought I'd figured out why my little dog was always different.
[Before You Read]
*A short story. I'm too tired, so I'm writing something light.
*The main text is in third person, with both perspectives interwoven. I'll probably write it pretty casually. I don't want to struggle over the logic and pacing anymore.
*There will be no intimate contact before the protagonist comes of age.
