Yu Nanzhi, a gifted painter fallen on hard times, x Qing Xuan, a young Tibetan holy monk.
Yu Nanzhi was the most famous painter in the imperial capital during the Jia Dynasty. Unequaled, one of his paintings could fetch a hundred taels of silver. In his early years, he'd painted countless works to make a living. Perhaps he was exceptionally gifted, or perhaps Heaven had blessed him with a talent for painting. Among his many works, it was a portrait of a beauty that caught the eye of the reigning Emperor Jia.
Qing Xuan was a young Tibetan holy monk, a sacred child chosen by Heaven. He was meant to devote his entire life to Tibet. His world had consisted of scriptures and sermons from childhood, while the other monks at the temple bowed to him and made offerings. He had no future of his own, no name, and no thoughts that belonged to him.
Until that person's arrival. That person changed everything for him, or perhaps changed the course of destiny for all of them.
