Dong Jian is a little miner.
Every day, he heads out early and comes home late, working hard.
He's happy with his life. His only regret is that he lives alone, with no one to keep him company and no warm meals waiting at home. He's so envious of his coworkers, who get to enjoy a cozy family life with wives and children.
One day, on his way home from work, Dong Jian finds a human. He's beautiful, and his cooking is amazing.
Dong Jian asks him to be his wife.
The human agrees!
From then on, every morning Dong Jian wakes up to a delicious breakfast, brings a delicious lunch to work, and comes home in the evening to a delicious dinner and a hug from his delicious-smelling wife!
It's just that...
Dong Jian holds his butt and asks in confusion, "Why is my wife the wife, but I'm the one whose butt hurts at night? So who's going to have the baby?"
Xiao Ci: "Neither of us can."
Dong Jian looks down. "But my belly..."
Xiao Ci rubs his round, protruding belly and explains with resignation, "Dongdong, you've just gotten fat from eating too much."
Dong Jian suddenly understands.
So this is the legendary happiness weight gain!

Xiao Ci has just graduated from college and is about to take over his family's little restaurant when he unexpectedly transmigrates to a magical wasteland world, full of monsters and short on food. He binds to the Food Tycoon System, which lets him collect Deliciousness Points to unlock and redeem all kinds of wondrous items and extra life in the exchange shop, including a plane-hopping device that can take him back to Blue Star!
He's got his golden finger, but he has only two hours left to live when he arrives. Weakened by a near-death debuff, he collapses and can't get back up, with monsters all around him.
It's a dead end.
Just as he's about to give up, a beautiful young man in patched-up clothes appears and takes him home.
Xiao Ci thinks he's seen an angel.
Even while suffering from the near-death debuff, Xiao Ci manages to make a charred fried egg. The young man takes a bite and praises it sincerely. The System announces that he's gained 20 Deliciousness Points, which he trades for 20 more hours of life. Xiao Ci is now certain that this young man is an angel!
By feeding Dong Jian three meals a day, Xiao Ci steadily extends his lifespan. He starts working hard to earn money and save up Deliciousness Points.
With Dong Jian's support, they start a business by taking lunch orders from the miners. Step by step, they unlock a delicious food truck, a delicious restaurant, a delicious farm, delicious baked goods...
Their delicious food spreads from a small town across the entire continent!
